I began my career in 1990, working in grassroots journalism for an Exeter-based news agency digging for stories and angles that would make a splash in UK national newspapers. It was a baptism of fire and a fantastic step into a new world of broadsheets and tabloids.
I learnt the difference between good writers and exceptional writers, who can gauge an audience and adapt the language and tone to create the greatest impact.
From there I moved to ITV as a reporter and producer for ten years, scripting and directing shoots and then onto Singapore where I spent the next four years as a field reporter and studio producer for ESPN.
I moved to Dubai in 2005, where public relations had never been in greater demand. The move from journalism to PR was a natural shift and within three years I was appointed PR Manager for Dubai World Trade Centre and went on to act as an agency consultant for Ford Motors, InterContinental Hotels and Pfizer in the UAE.
I broadened my skills to media training and worked with clients such as The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Sanofi.
In 2019 I returned to the UK with these fantastic experiences and began my new journey with Word Perfect Copy.
